Juliette (EMMANUELLE DEVOS) was uncertain about moving to a suburban neighborhood of Paris, where all the wives follow the same pattern. While their husbands go to work early in the morning, they move from their house to the salon to the grocery store to the kitchen before retiring to the bedroom and waiting for their husbands to retun. Juliette yearns to work at a publishing house but is monopolized by never-ending domestic tasks her husband is unable to help with.

How can the modern woman balance the demands of both family and career? A critical look at the contemporary issues facing women, from motherhood to domesticity to “having it all,” Domestic Life is acidly cynical, yet incredibly relatable. It’s a film that explores missed opportunities, unmet expectations and growing dissatisfaction within your own life. -Films Distribution
