Improvisational Acting will address, among other topics, connection to inspiration, ‘yes and-ing,’ status play, active listening, scene painting, and space work. Students who attend will learn to connect more deeply to their own inspiration while also engaging in active listening. Students will have a showcase at the end of the course for friends and family to see them perform in what might be their first ever improv theater performance!

Improv Jam is part of Vuka's 6-week summer class program.
Class will be held over the following 6 Wednesdays from 6:30pm - 8:00pm at Vuka.

Ries Joel Ausanka is a life-long actor and Austin improv veteran whom has studied and performed at The Institution Theater, The Hideout Theater, and Coldtowne Theater. A playwright and poet by trade, he has written and directed several scripted and improv shows, as well as performed in slam competitions in Austin since 2004. He is currently producing a zero waste children’s puppet musical with The Puppet Improv Project, entitled, “Trash!”
