Design Thinking + Making Workshop
P1000225
Description

Do you have an idea and trying to figure out the next steps to move forward with? Are you working with an existing product/service and trying to understand the surrounding system? Are you looking for brainstorming tools that you can use with your team and other stakeholders?

Design thinking is powerful, but only if it's coupled with "making skills". In this 3-hour workshop, we will cover how to use design as a way of thinking about complex interactions, as well as using tangible artifacts to turn your ideas into reality.

Who this workshop is for:
People who are currently designing or implementing a product/service and want to integrate design methods into their process on a zero budget

What we will cover:
Depending on what everyone is currently working on and/or what they're hoping to get out of the workshop, I will go over 3 of the following methods. We will learn what they are, when to use them, and how to use them.

1) Participatory Interview/Co-Design
2) Persona Development
3) Concept Mapping with temporal zoom and semantic zoom
4) Reframing
5) Insight combination
6) Customer Journey Map & Service Blueprint
7) Paper prototype / Wireframing
8) Think-Aloud Usability Testing

What you will walk away with:
- an overview for various techniques available
- resources for further learning
- your own design toolkit with reusable templates!
