Carb Re-Jet on a 75 CB 750

Description

My buddy Ellis has a 1975 CB 750 that he's been working on getting into fighting shape. He's putting some new pipes on it, and is going to have to re-jet the carbs.

I've done this on 2 Kawasaki's, and done carb re-builds on a handful of other bikes so it should be pretty straight forward. The basic steps will include:

1. Carb removal
2. Carb cleaning and basic re-build
3. Re-Jet
4. Re-assembly and adjustment of cables and hoses
5. Balancing the Carbs
6. Burnouts

Looking forward to it... (note: the bike pictured above is not the bike we're working on -same year and model - but if it was mine it's just about the way I'd want it to look, minus a flat black paint job of course!)

I love riding and wrenching on motorbikes - especially UJM cafe racers.

That bike in the image is a straight up stunner. Alex, I just found the group. Anyone having an open wrench night/ Session anytime soon? I would have really enjoyed getting these skill sets. Carbs seem to be a big issue.

Hey Trey, Nice to meet you. First a confession... the bike in the photo isn't the one we we're working on, I thought I'd use a little inspirational photo to get us where we want to be! That said, Ellis' bike is a stunner. I'm hoping to post some sessions shortly.

Do you ride? Do you have a bike? If so, post a pic of your bike on the main page and introduce yourself! http://hourschool.com/missions/1

Cheers, and welcome to the mission!
A.

Can anyone help me out with transporting parts? I will be changing the oil and installing the exhaust there. I might need someone assist with taking the oil and exhaust to the garage.

Either that, or I can always leave the goods there a few days prior.

Ellis,
You're welcome to bring stuff by beforehand... or I'd be happy to meet you at your house, and pick up some things with my truck... no problem either way. I'll be back in town late Friday night, we can co-ordinate then. Cheers!

The bike and myself might be a little late to the party as my safety class gets out at 12pm. I'll have to run back home, grab the bike, and then head out. Will definitely be there though!

No worries... There's plenty to do on my CB beforehand... roll over when you're ready.

I wish I could be there, but I'm going to be flying back from Seattle that night.
